We're having brunch at Gayle's today. She always offers up a damn tasty main dish and friends bring sides. My contribution is usually some sort of veggie dish. Today, to go with Gayle's smoked pork shoulder pulled pork sliders I've made a jicama salad. It'll be a little taste of summer on a rainy winter day.

For some reason we all seem to be interested in what's on other people's plates. Friends tell me I should post the weird things I eat. Yesterday's late lunch seems like a good one to share. I topped an avocado half with curried salmon salad 2.0. This verson had chopped celery, cukes, and cilantro. The spiciness of the curry paired nicely with the smooth, creamy goodness of the avocado. Missed posting yesterday, so today is Day 7 of the 12 Days of Fitness. Last year on Day 7 we did another quick little workout at the park. I went out for a walk-jog-hill routine at Mt Tabor. It was like a winter wonderland out there. The dense fog over night made it look like the park had been flocked this morning.

Holy carp! (yes I know that says carp.) How did it get to be December 2nd already? This time of year really goes into warp speed and we can lose focus on our fitness routines, or maybe we just start thinking about them for January.
