I'm working on a new little project that required a thrifting trip yesterday. While I was supposedly there strictly for sweaters, I found this shirt. You know me and something sparkly! It's a silk/microfiber blend. While the
Hipstamatic makes it look multi toned, it's actually a nice solid silver and it's looks very cool on. (gotta get me a dress dummy for these photos. . .) It was 7 bucks, but I had to ask if they'd lower the price, since it literally had a food stain smack dab in the middle of the chest. They let me have it for $3. Sweet! I promptly brought it home, washed it, and the stain was gone. (I figured if it didn't come out I would just make something out of the remaining clean fabric.)

I have a feeling the previous owner looked at the stain, then the "hand wash only" label, and tossed it in the Goodwill pile. Obviously she doesn't follow my Waste Not Wednesday lead. Lucky for me!
